Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Line an 8-inch square pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan, combine sugar, maple syrup, and heavy cream. Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
  3. Bring to a boil and cook until the mixture reaches 238°F on a candy thermometer.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in butter, vanilla, and salt.
  5. Let cool slightly, then beat until thick and creamy.
  6. Fold in chopped walnuts.
  7. Pour into the prepared pan and let set at room temperature for 2 hours.
  8. Cut into squares and serve.
