Ingredients

  • 8 oz block of cream cheese, chilled
  • 8 oz block of sharp cheddar cheese, chilled
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cut the cream cheese and cheddar cheese into 1-inch cubes.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, red wine vinegar, garlic, oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, and black pepper.
  3. Place the cheese cubes in a jar or airtight container.
  4. Pour the marinade over the cheese, ensuring all pieces are coated.
  5. Seal the container and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  6. Serve chilled with crackers or bread.
