- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
- 2–3 tablespoons ice water
- 1 apple, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix flour and salt in a bowl.
- Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add ice water, one tablespoon at a time, until the dough comes together.
- Roll out the dough and cut into small circles.
- Toss apple slices with sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
- Place apple slices in the center of each dough circle.
- Fold edges of dough over apples, leaving the center open.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
- Use cold butter for flaky crust.
- Adjust sugar to taste.
- Serve warm with ice cream if desired.
