Mini Corn Dog Bites are bite-sized versions of the classic corn dog, perfect for parties, snacks, or appetizers. They are crispy on the outside with a soft, savory center.
Ingredients

- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 pack mini hot dogs (about 24 pieces)
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add egg, milk, and melted butter. Stir until smooth.
- Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
- Insert a toothpick into each mini hot dog for easy handling.
- Dip each mini hot dog into the batter, coating evenly.
- Carefully place coated hot dogs into the hot oil. Fry for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- Serve warm with ketchup or mustard.
Notes
- Use a candy thermometer to monitor oil temperature.
- For crispier bites, double-coat the hot dogs.
- You can bake these at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes as an alternative.
