Delicate French tea cakes flavored with orange zest.
Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tbsp orange zest
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease madeleine molds.
- Whisk eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy.
- Fold in melted butter and orange zest.
- Sift flour, baking powder, and salt into the mixture.
- Spoon batter into molds, filling each 3/4 full.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
- Cool slightly before removing from molds.
Notes
- Use fresh orange zest for best flavor.
- Chill batter for 30 minutes for better rise.
- Serve warm with tea or coffee.
