Description
Peanut Butter Blossoms are classic cookies with a peanut butter base, rolled in sugar, and topped with a chocolate kiss.
Ingredients

- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- Additional granulated sugar for rolling
- Chocolate kisses, unwrapped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, mix 1/2 cup granulated sugar, brown sugar, peanut butter, butter, and egg until well blended.
- Stir in flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
- Shape dough into 1-inch balls and roll in additional granulated sugar.
- Place on ungreased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are light brown.
- Immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie.
- Remove from cookie sheet to cooling rack.
Notes
- Use fresh peanut butter for best results.
- Do not overbake.
- Let cookies cool before storing.
