A moist and flavorful pecan coffee cake perfect for breakfast or dessert.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add softened butter, milk, and egg. Mix until smooth.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan.
- In a separate bowl, combine chopped pecans, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Sprinkle half of this mixture over the batter.
- Add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the pecan mixture.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- You can substitute walnuts for pecans if desired.
