Description

A moist and flavorful pecan coffee cake perfect for breakfast or dessert.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add softened butter, milk, and egg. Mix until smooth.
  4. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine chopped pecans, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Sprinkle half of this mixture over the batter.
  6. Add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the pecan mixture.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Let cool before serving.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • You can substitute walnuts for pecans if desired.
