Description

A delicious twist on grilled cheese sandwiches with pepperoni pizza flavors.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices of bread
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 20 slices pepperoni
  • 2 tbsp pizza sauce

Instructions

  1. Butter one side of each bread slice
  2. Spread pizza sauce on unbuttered side of two slices
  3. Layer cheeses and pepperoni between bread slices
  4. Cook sandwiches in skillet over medium heat for 3-4 minutes per side
  5. Flip when golden brown and cheese starts melting
  6. Remove from heat when both sides are crispy

Notes

  • Use cast iron skillet for best results
  • Substitute turkey pepperoni for lower fat option
  • Add other pizza toppings as desired
