Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz dark chocolate
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9-inch cake pan.
- Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a bowl.
- In another bowl, whisk pumpkin puree, sugars, oil, eggs, and vanilla.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until smooth.
- Pour batter into pan and bake for 35-40 minutes.
- Cool cake completely.
- Heat cream until simmering, pour over chopped chocolate, and stir until smooth.
- Spread ganache over cake and let set before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh pumpkin puree for best flavor.
- Ganache can be refrigerated to thicken faster.
