Description

Delicious baked pumpkin donuts coated in cinnamon sugar for a sweet autumn treat.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1/4 tsp cloves
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon (for coating)
  • 1/4 cup melted butter (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a donut pan.
  2. Mix flour, baking powder, salt, and spices in a bowl.
  3. In another bowl, whisk brown sugar, pumpkin puree, eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Pipe or spoon batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity 3/4 full.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool donuts for 5 minutes, then dip in melted butter and coat with cinnamon sugar.
  8. Serve warm or store in an airtight container.

  • Use canned or fresh pumpkin puree.
  • For fluffier donuts, don’t overmix the batter.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
