- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp pumpkin spice
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, pumpkin spice, and salt in a bowl.
- In another bowl, mix pumpkin puree, oil, sugars, eggs, and vanilla.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until smooth.
- Pour batter into pan and bake for 30-35 minutes. Cool completely.
- Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add brown sugar and powdered sugar.
- Spread frosting on cooled cake. Slice and serve.

- Use fresh pumpkin puree for best flavor.
- Store cake covered in the fridge for up to 3 days.
