Description

A rich and decadent dessert combining pumpkin spice flavors with a gooey, layered texture.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix cake mix, pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, and eggs until smooth.
  3. Spread batter evenly in the prepared pan.
  4. Sprinkle brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice, chocolate chips, and pecans over the batter.
  5. In another bowl, beat cream cheese, melted butter, vanilla, and powdered sugar until smooth.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of cream cheese mixture over the top and swirl lightly.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes until edges are set but center is slightly jiggly.
  8. Let cool before serving.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  • Substitute walnuts for pecans if preferred.
  • Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
