- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix melted butter, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring until just incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, mix pumpkin puree, cream cheese, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg until smooth.
- Spread brownie batter into the pan. Drop spoonfuls of pumpkin mixture on top.
- Use a knife to swirl the pumpkin into the brownie batter.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- For extra richness, add chocolate chips to the batter.
- Pumpkin puree should be unsweetened.
