- 1 lb ground lamb or beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup peas
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 tsp rosemary
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Boil potatoes until tender, then mash with butter and milk.
- In a skillet, cook meat until browned. Remove excess fat.
- Add onion, carrots, and garlic. Cook until softened.
- Stir in tomato paste, broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer for 10 minutes, then add peas.
- Transfer meat mixture to a baking dish, top with mashed potatoes.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Notes
- Use ground beef if lamb is unavailable.
- Add grated cheese on top for extra flavor.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
