- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 egg
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Beat the egg in a separate bowl.
- Dip each chicken breast in the egg, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Place chicken on a greased sheet pan and drizzle with olive oil.
- Bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove from oven, top with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for another 10 minutes until cheese melts and chicken is fully cooked.
Notes
- Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crispiness.
- You can add fresh basil for garnish.
- Serve with pasta or a side salad.
