Description

A refreshing and tangy shrimp ceviche, perfect for a light appetizer or main dish.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup lime juice
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1 small red onion, finely diced
  • 1 large tomato, diced
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 avocado, diced
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook shrimp in boiling water for 2 minutes, then drain and cool.
  2. In a bowl, combine shrimp, lime juice, and lemon juice. Let marinate for 20 minutes.
  3. Add red onion, tomato, jalapeño, and cilantro. Mix well.
  4. Gently fold in avocado.
  5. Season with salt and serve chilled.

Notes

  • Use fresh shrimp for best results.
  • Marinate shrimp in citrus juice for at least 20 minutes to ensure proper cooking.
  • Serve with tortilla chips or tostadas.
