Description

A juicy and flavorful smoked whole turkey, perfect for special occasions. The slow smoking process ensures tender meat with a rich smoky taste.


Ingredients

  • 1 whole turkey (1214 lbs)
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 2 cups wood chips (hickory or applewood)

Instructions

  1. Preheat smoker to 225°F.
  2. Mix salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika in a bowl.
  3. Rub the turkey with olive oil, then coat evenly with the spice mix.
  4. Place turkey in the smoker and add wood chips.
  5. Smoke for 4-5 hours or until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  6. Remove turkey, let it rest for 20 minutes before carving.
