A comforting and creamy casserole with ground beef, sour cream, and egg noodles.
Ingredients

- 8 oz egg noodles
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in tomato sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix sour cream and cottage cheese.
- In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, layer half the noodles, followed by half the sour cream mixture, then half the beef mixture. Repeat layers.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with green onions if desired.
Notes
- Substitute ground turkey for a lighter option.
- Use cream cheese instead of cottage cheese for extra richness.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
