Description

A spooky and fun dessert perfect for Halloween. This ice cream cake mimics a spider web with chocolate drizzle and gummy spiders for decoration.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pre-made chocolate cake
  • 2 quarts vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup chocolate syrup
  • 1012 gummy spiders
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1 tablespoon black food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Let the ice cream soften slightly at room temperature for 10 minutes.
  2. Place the chocolate cake on a serving platter.
  3. Spread the softened vanilla ice cream evenly over the cake.
  4. Freeze for 1 hour to firm up.
  5. Drizzle chocolate syrup in a spiral pattern to create a web effect.
  6. Use a toothpick to drag lines from the center outward for a realistic web.
  7. Place gummy spiders on top.
  8. Pipe whipped cream around the edges if desired.
  9. Freeze for another 2 hours before serving.
