Description

Sweet corn tamales with cream is a delicious Mexican dish made from fresh corn, masa, and cream, wrapped in corn husks and steamed to perfection.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh sweet corn kernels
  • 1 cup masa harina
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Corn husks (for wrapping)

Instructions

  1. Soak corn husks in warm water for 30 minutes.
  2. Blend fresh corn kernels until smooth.
  3. Mix masa harina, blended corn, sugar, butter, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Add cream gradually until a soft dough forms.
  5. Spread dough on soaked corn husks.
  6. Fold husks and tie with strips of husk.
  7. Steam tamales for 45 minutes.
  8. Serve warm with extra cream.
