Description

A classic sweet potato casserole with a crunchy pecan topping.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups mashed sweet potatoes
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Mix mashed sweet potatoes, granulated sugar, eggs, milk, 1/4 cup melted butter, vanilla, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Spread mixture into a greased baking dish.
  4. Combine pecans, brown sugar, flour, and 1/4 cup melted butter in a separate bowl.
  5. Sprinkle pecan mixture over sweet potatoes.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes or until topping is golden.

Notes

  • Use fresh sweet potatoes for best flavor.
  • Adjust sugar to taste.
