- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp white vinegar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- Mix the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
- Add the vegetable oil, vinegar, vanilla extract, and water. Stir until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let it cool before serving.
Notes
- For extra richness, add 1/2 cup dairy-free chocolate chips to the batter.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
