- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 medium apple, peeled and diced
- 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 egg, beaten (for wash)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix diced apple, cheddar cheese, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
- Cut puff pastry into 4 equal squares.
- Spoon the apple mixture onto the center of each square.
- Fold pastry over to form a bundle. Pinch edges to seal.
- Place bundles on the baking sheet. Brush tops with beaten egg.
- Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, until golden brown.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use a tart apple like Granny Smith for best flavor.
- You can add a pinch of nutmeg if desired.
