- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add this to the butter mixture.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Let them cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes before moving to a wire rack.
Notes
- Chill the dough for 30 minutes for thicker cookies.
- Use room temperature eggs for better mixing.
