Description
Crescent Apple Dumplings are a quick dessert using crescent rolls and fresh apples, baked in a sweet sauce.

- 2 large apples, peeled and cored
- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent rolls
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup orange juice
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cut each apple into 8 wedges.
- Separate crescent roll dough into 8 triangles.
- Place one apple wedge on each triangle and roll up.
- Place dumplings in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Stir in sugars, cinnamon, and orange juice. Bring to a boil.
- Pour sauce over dumplings.
- Bake for 30 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- Use firm apples like Granny Smith for best results.
- Serve with vanilla ice cream if desired.
