Description

These easy baked cinnamon apples are a warm, sweet dessert. You can make them in the oven with simple ingredients. Perfect for a cozy treat.


Ingredients

  • 4 medium apples (such as Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)
  • 2 tablespoons vegan butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons coconut sugar or brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Optional: 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or raisins

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Wash and core the apples. Leave the skins on.
  3. In a small bowl, mix melted vegan butter, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
  4. Place the apples in a baking dish. Spoon the mixture into the cavities and over the tops.
  5. Add 2 tablespoons of water to the bottom of the dish.
  6. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until the apples are tender.
  7. Serve warm. You can spoon the pan juices over the top.
