Description
A simple and flavorful garlic herb rice dish that pairs well with any meal.
Ingredients

- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 2 cups water or chicken broth
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp butter or olive oil
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- Heat butter or oil in a pot over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
- Add rice and stir to coat with the butter and garlic.
- Pour in water or broth and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let sit covered for 5 minutes.
- Fluff with a fork and serve.
Notes
- Use fresh herbs if available for better flavor.
- Adjust salt to taste.
- For extra richness, stir in a tablespoon of butter after cooking.
