- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- For the glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons maple syrup, 1-2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg, maple syrup, and vanilla.
- Gradually add dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Chill dough for 30 minutes.
- Roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness on a floured surface. Cut with maple leaf cookie cutter.
- Place cookies 2 inches apart on prepared sheets. Bake 8-10 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- Cool on wire racks. Whisk glaze ingredients until smooth. Drizzle over cooled cookies.
