Description
These Green Bean Casserole Bites are a fun, handheld version of the classic side dish. Crispy fried onions and creamy mushroom sauce wrap tender green beans in a crunchy bite.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 can (14.5 oz) cut green beans, drained
- 1 1/3 cups French fried onions, divided
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 24-cup mini muffin tin.
- In a large bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup, milk, and black pepper until smooth.
- Stir in the drained green beans and 1 cup of the fried onions. Add cheese if using.
- Spoon the mixture evenly into the mini muffin cups, filling each almost to the top.
- Sprinkle the remaining fried onions over the tops.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes, until the edges are bubbly and the onions are golden.
- Let cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then remove carefully with a small spatula or fork.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- If you prefer a dairy-free version, use a vegan cream of mushroom soup and plant-based milk and cheese.
- Make ahead: Prepare the filling without the top onions, refrigerate, then add onions and bake just before serving.
- For extra crunch, add extra fried onions after baking.
