Description

Grilled halloumi is a quick and simple dish. You enjoy the salty, firm cheese with a crispy exterior and soft interior. Perfect as a snack or side.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g halloumi cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 lemon, cut into wedges
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Slice halloumi into 1cm thick pieces.
  2. Brush each slice with olive oil.
  3. Heat a grill pan or outdoor grill over medium-high heat.
  4. Place halloumi slices on the grill.
  5. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  6. Remove from grill and squeeze lemon juice over the top.
  7. Garnish with mint leaves.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Do not soak halloumi before grilling.
  • Use a non-stick pan if you don’t have a grill.
  • Halloumi does not melt, so it holds its shape.
