- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuits
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add onion and garlic. Cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
- Stir in flour. Cook for 1 minute.
- Add beef broth and milk. Stir until thickened.
- Mix in frozen vegetables, thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Pour the mixture into a 9-inch pie dish or baking dish.
- Arrange biscuits on top of the filling. Brush with melted butter.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until biscuits are golden and filling is bubbly.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Leftovers keep in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- Reheat in the oven at 350°F for 10 minutes.
- You can use homemade biscuit dough instead of canned.
