Description

These Italian meat sliders are a quick and easy dinner or party appetizer. They feature seasoned ground beef, marinara sauce, and melted mozzarella cheese, all tucked into soft slider buns and baked to perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 12 slider buns
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with the onion and garlic until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Stir in the oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Add the marinara sauce and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Slice the slider buns in half horizontally. Place the bottom half in a baking dish.
  5. Spoon the meat mixture evenly over the bottom buns.
  6. Top with the remaining half of the buns, cut side up.
  7. Bake for 10 minutes.
  8. Remove from the oven and serve immediately. The meat is already cooked, so this step just warms the buns.

Notes

Use a spatula to separate the buns for easier serving. This recipe is simple and requires no extra steps.
