Description
These Italian meat sliders are a quick and easy dinner or party appetizer. They feature seasoned ground beef, marinara sauce, and melted mozzarella cheese, all tucked into soft slider buns and baked to perfection.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 12 slider buns
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with the onion and garlic until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Add the marinara sauce and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
- Slice the slider buns in half horizontally. Place the bottom half in a baking dish.
- Spoon the meat mixture evenly over the bottom buns.
- Top with the remaining half of the buns, cut side up.
- Bake for 10 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and serve immediately. The meat is already cooked, so this step just warms the buns.
Notes
Use a spatula to separate the buns for easier serving. This recipe is simple and requires no extra steps.
