Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°F (95°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a clean bowl, beat egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.
- Gradually add sugar substitute, one tablespoon at a time, while beating until stiff peaks form.
- Fold in vanilla extract if using.
- Spoon or pipe meringue onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 1.5 to 2 hours or until crisp. Turn off oven and let cool inside for 1 hour.
