Ingredients

- 1 whole duck (about 5 lbs)
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp grated ginger
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp orange zest
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Pat the duck dry and season with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, mix orange juice, honey, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and orange zest.
- Brush half of the glaze over the duck.
- Roast the duck for 1 hour, basting with remaining glaze every 15 minutes.
- Increase heat to 400°F and roast for another 15-20 minutes until crispy.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before carving.
Notes
- Use fresh orange juice for best flavor.
- Check internal temperature—it should reach 165°F.
- Serve with steamed rice or roasted vegetables.
