Description

This pecan pie bark has a buttery brown sugar caramel, toasted pecans, and a layer of chocolate. It tastes like pecan pie in a simple bark form.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 40 saltine crackers
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with foil.
  2. Arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer on the sheet.
  3. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the brown sugar. Bring to a boil and cook for 3 minutes.
  4. Pour the caramel evenly over the crackers.
  5. Sprinkle the pecan halves over the top.
  6. Bake for 5 minutes until bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven. Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the hot bark. Let them melt for 2 minutes.
  8. Spread the melted chocolate evenly with a spatula.
  9. Let the bark cool, then refrigerate until firm for 1 hour.
  10. Break into pieces and serve.

Notes

  • Store the bark in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week.
  • You can use milk chocolate instead of semisweet.
  • Line the baking sheet with parchment paper for easier removal.
