- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup pecan halves
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a 9×13 inch pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Stir until just combined. Fold in chopped pecans.
- Pour brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- In a separate bowl, mix corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, and vanilla. Stir in pecan halves.
- Spoon the pecan mixture evenly over the brownie batter.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until the center is set and the top is golden.
- Cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before cutting into squares.
