Description
Sweet pears and creamy brie are paired with crunchy pistachios and a cherry honey drizzle. These skewers are a quick appetizer for any gathering.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ripe pears, cored and cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1/2 cup shelled pistachios, finely chopped
- 4 ounces brie cheese, rind removed, at room temperature
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup dried cherries, chopped
- 8 wooden skewers (soaked in water 30 minutes if using wooden skewers)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk brie and heavy cream until smooth and fluffy. Set aside.
- In a small saucepan, warm honey and dried cherries over low heat for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Place chopped pistachios in a shallow dish. Roll each pear cube in pistachios to coat lightly.
- Thread 3-4 pear cubes onto each skewer.
- Arrange skewers on a serving platter. Dollop whipped brie over each skewer or serve alongside as a dip.
- Drizzle cherry honey over skewers just before serving.
Notes
- Soak wooden skewers to prevent burning if you plan to grill them briefly.
- Use ripe but firm pears so they hold their shape on the skewers.
- You can double the whipped brie for more dipping.
