- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp pumpkin spice
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup milk (for frosting)
- Black icing (for decoration)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, pumpkin spice, and salt in a bowl.
- Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in pumpkin puree, milk, and vanilla.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
- Fill cupcake liners 2/3 full. Bake for 18-20 minutes. Let cool.
- Mix powdered sugar and milk to make frosting. Pipe ghost shapes on cupcakes.
- Use black icing to add eyes and mouth to each ghost.

- Use fresh pumpkin puree for best flavor.
- Let cupcakes cool completely before frosting.
