Description
Strawberry Balsamic Bruschetta is a fresh and fruity twist on the classic Italian appetizer. Juicy strawberries, aromatic basil, and tangy balsamic vinegar sit on toasted baguette slices. You get a perfect balance of sweet and savory in every bite.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and diced
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil, for brushing
- 1 clove garlic, halved
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet. Brush both sides with olive oil.
- Toast in the oven for 5-7 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crisp.
- Rub each toasted slice with the cut side of the garlic clove.
- In a bowl, combine strawberries, basil, balsamic vinegar, honey, salt, and pepper. Stir gently.
- Spoon the strawberry mixture onto each baguette slice just before serving.
Notes
- Use ripe, sweet strawberries for the best flavor.
- Prepare the strawberry topping up to 30 minutes ahead, but add it to the bread right before serving to keep the bruschetta crisp.
- For extra creaminess, spread a thin layer of goat cheese on the toasted bread before adding the strawberries.
