Description

Juicy meatballs coated in a sweet and savory teriyaki sauce. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup mirin
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds for garnish
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, and ginger in a bowl.
  3. Shape into 20 meatballs and place on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes until cooked through.
  5. While meatballs bake, combine soy sauce, mirin, and sugar in a saucepan.
  6. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  7. Add cornstarch slurry and stir until thickened.
  8. Toss baked meatballs in teriyaki sauce.
  9. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.

  • Use ground pork or chicken for a different flavor.
