Description
A warm and comforting apple crisp with a crunchy oat topping. Perfect for fall.
Ingredients

- 6 cups peeled and sliced apples (about 6 medium apples)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup cold butter, cut into small pieces
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, toss apples with granulated sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon. Spread in prepared dish.
- In another bowl, combine flour, oats, and brown sugar. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over apples.
- Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until topping is golden and apples are tender. Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
- You can use any apple variety. Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work well.
